Conversation a la 'raspberry'

Zev initiated a conversation in raspberry with Omi yesterday during lunch. Sometimes it's too hard not to laugh...

Zev is a ROCKER!

It's official, Zev takes after his daddy. The rocker doesn't fall far from the guitar. He's dancin, he's singin, he's swayin. When mommy dances around (looking very silly) Zev starts boppin and bending his knees. The boy loves music. Does it get any cuter?

Early Mother's Day

Since Jeff, Zev and I are traveling to New Jersey next weekend, we celebrated Mother's Day and my mom's birthday early at Red Sky Cafe here in Tucson. The food was fabulous and the company even better! 

First Tooth!

It's finally here - Zev's first tooth. He's having some discomfort and so I am...now that he's biting me! Although after seeing the appauled look on my face yesterday after he bit me for the second time I think he might get the idea that mommy is not to be bitten. For his teething discomfort, we've been giving him teething toys, biscuits and frozen cubes of food to chew on through a mesh feeder (http://store.babycenter.com/product/code/3925.do).

Aunt Ruthie's Visit, Walking With a Toy

Aunt Ruthie and Zev had a blast together. We miss her so much!

Zev is now walking with his  dumptruck toy!

Zev has been having fun with tofu, so much fun he hardly actually eats any of it. He's fed himself a few chunks of it and is working on the pincer grip.

This kiddo is almost ready to walk! He's pushing toys around and has even let go and stood up by himself!

Pulling himself up to standing!

Zev surprises us all the time. A few days ago he pulled himself up to standing and has been having fun with his new skill ever since. Now he's trying to crawl up everything! He isn't satisfied with standing by the couch, he wants to crawl onto the couch. Once we lift him up he tries to crawl up the cushions to the wall where hangs a very attractive cord from our track lighting. We can't wait till we get into our new home with recessed lighting so we won't have to worry about lamps and cords! Since Zev's been exploring the perimeter so much and simply ignores his toys, we've baby proofed our outlets. He's a little explorer so we're giving him as much freedom as possible.
